At Digital Saber, building great software products and applications is what we do day-in-day-out. So we thought it’ll be good to reflect on why we (the technology community as a whole) build New Products, Applications and why we keep continuing to build them more and more. This article is written in the light of B2B software products.

a.    To make our customers’ businesses run smoother, more efficiently and more effectively
Great software products help take businesses to greater heights. New products need to be built as business growth enablers.

b.    To make customers’ lives easier and to make business applications easier and more intuitive to use
Traditional, legacy systems have become cumbersome to use and in certain instances have outgrown their purpose. New Business Apps should be as easy to use and no longer has to be boring.
c.    To make profit
As much as we enjoy doing what we do, all of us (almost at least) are in this to make money. While some make it big, some don’t. Especially in the case of Cloud applications, financial success has a lot to do with the billing model and adoption of your product by the users.
d.    To make the world a better place
May sound like a cliche but we really do believe great software products can change the way we live, work and play.
