Digital Saber Gives Back

A Journey by the Living for Life
Members of the  Digital Saber team recently took part in a charity walk titled ‘Trail’ in the sunny isles of Sri Lanka.

Trail was a 27-day journey, spanning over 670 km in the hopes of raising $2 million dollars towards building a pediatric cancer ward in the Jaffna General Hospital.  Many participants from across the country made the trek, which was from the southernmost point to tip of the island.

The funds generated from this endeavor will go towards the construction of a new pediatric cancer wing in the Jaffna Hospital. This will enable children with cancer from the northern, north central and eastern province to travel to Jaffna without having to make the strenuous journey to Colombo. With such a high rate recurrence and with treatment most often being administered over longer periods, the current situation does not allow for much hope. But with the construction of this new facility, Trail aims to give children and their families just that.

The DSS team is proud to have been a part of this effort. Together with our clients, partners and friends we were able to make a generous contribution towards the new facility. Our thanks go out to everyone who supported us and helping in making Trail a success.
